I've heard of it. But my historian guts won't tolerated to see a Sherman killing a Tiger from far away. I've also heard it's lacking one of the best tank of WWII (the T-34). And duel between just Sherman (one of the worse tank of the late war) and Tiger (not as invincible as said)...well...may be very sexy for novice but not for me (just for memory there were less than 200 operating at same time both on eastern and western front. The main battle tank of Germany was the Pz-IV)
So I haven't try it. But, just to see, one day may be lol!

EDIT: oooops got wrong informations. The T-34 is there in both T-34 76 and T34-85 as I saw them on the video.

Jukka It is quite hard to start of with but you will be surprised at how quickly you build up your experience
if you have a small tank these are ideal for scouting and spotting the enemy ...

You dont have to kill everything in site to gain lots of points ...

Dont expect too much too soon and you will be rewarded when you start winning ...

Pierre i never had any problems downloading ...

Ludo i think this game has most tanks in it definatly has the T34
the Pz-IV is a great tank , i went down the German root
and at present i have a VK3601 . Tiger I and my favourite a Grille .
I Never chose American Tanks and the Sherman is so Ugly lol!

I Also had a Wespe ,Stumpanzer ,Stug ....

The only tank i have that is not German is an Su26 ....

Jukka what is your name i am Iron_Claw

A Grille? it's not a tank that one. It's a self propelled gun. And not a really known one.

You think the Sherman is ugly..try a Grant. The ugliest tank in the world Smile

VK3601? never heard of that one during WWII. Seems swedish to me Smile

Sturmpanzer? again not a tank but a self propelled gun. And ugly one too :D :D . StuG III? StuGIV? or the StuH?

Su26? never heard of scratch scratch . Know the Su-76, the Su-122, the Su-85, the Su-100 (one of the best tank hunter of the war) and the Su-152. Never heard of a 26mm caliber gun in soviet roster too. (the number after Su is the caliber of the gun in mm Wink SU meaning a self propelled gun in russian (Samokhodnaja Ustanovka).

I've to play should choose a T-34 or a Hetzer or a very small Pz-II or even a Valentine (saw one on the video) or a Somua 35 (being french it's a must to ride the best french tank of the era) lol!

Yes your correct the Grille is an SPG and i love it , its whats known as Arty in this game
short for Artillery you can have an ariel view and as long as its in range you can kill it ...
Or you can go into Tank Destroyer mode at close range ...

Stug III ....Thats the one ...

Its quite nice each tank has a description of when it was in service how many where made
that sort of thing .....

The Su-26 Is also SPG .........Built on the chassis of a T-26
The SU-100 Is a beast to kill ....

I Also used to have a Hetzer very low to the ground so hard to hit ...

There are no English or French tanks at present but i think that will change in the future ...

Come on Ludo you Historian you can join us .... :hihi:

That game used to be the Iracing of the flight simulation. Always love the WWI birds but I've no more a joystick (a hell for me as I can't play either Il-2 46 I was offered for my birthday by my nephew). And the pay per play is not something I'm attracted to

Okay the SU26 is the name of the Su76 based on the T-26 frame. The real Su76 was based on the T-70 one.

And I'm sure an english tank is on play as I saw the Valentine on the video. Okay should be said to be a Soviet tank. But it's indeed an english one (and a loved one by its crew despise a very light gun) :D :D

Polish tank were nearly no existent. There were what we called "tankettes"..basically a armored machine gun carrier with track and not wheel and also without turret. The TK 3 and his sister TKS equipped with a 20mm was not a match to any tank of 1939 but the Pz-I. :D

Try to download the whole thing. Well took me 4 hours. So I've not yet try it. But I'll certainly got Soviet tanks for a start (well certainly not the maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarvelous T-38, nor the T-26 :hihi: :hihi: )

I'm more into submarines when it comes to wargames, and I'm a fairly good Kaleun in Silent Hunter 3 and an ace in Silent Hunter 4, but I have also tried T34 vs. Tiger, specially with Zeewolf's mod.

Never tried WOT, but from what I've heard the realism and depth of the game isfar from T34vsT :hum:

World of tank isn't a simulation game at all and never said it was. It's just a fun game.

For me the best ever tank simulator is Panzer Elite (where Tiger was an oddity...as it was in the war). Alas it's rather old and graphics are out of age. Tiger vs T-34 is great but too much emphasis on (once again...Hollywood syndrom strikes again) Tiger which was one of the less produced tank in the world (only beasts like the Strumtiger, the Konigstiger, the Jagdtiger were less produced). 1300 Tiger were built (and there were no more than 200 operational at any time during the world) against 6000 Panther (probably the best tank of the war), 8800 PzIV (the work horse of the Panzerwaffe...the german armoured troops), nearly 50 000 Sherman and 84 000 T-34. So I've never buy that one as my historian blood is whipped lash with such abusive use of a specific tank.

SH3? are you using GreyWolf mod. It's the best ever. My best souvenir was an night surface attack with a IIc class on a convoy escorted by 4 warships (flower class as it seems). Done two attacks. First sunk one ship and second saw a very impressive explosion as one of my torpedoes missed its original target and hit an ammunition carrier. Remember the mission log saying I've sunk nearly 15 000 tons of merchant ships in one patrol...not bad for the IIc
SH4..well not really as tough as SH3. Japenese antisbub ships are really bad. Remember a convoy attack I've done once with a S1 class. I've just have to find the convoy then overtake it then dive and wait until being in the middle of the convoy. Then I shoot all torpedoes. Full ahead in any direction. When out of the convoy I surfaced, reload my last torpedoes and do the same again. Wasn't for the faulty torpedoes it will have been a massacre without taking any risks. None of the destroyers were able to locate me and all depht charge attack I've heard were far far away. I don't even heard once the "Ping" every sub captain dreaded.

OK, I just found why the DL didn't want to work. I have Malwarebytes Pro on my computer and this software blocks some sites. It didn't do it for the WOT site itself but just for the DL of the game.
Now it is downloading at 550 Ko/s so I should have it in a little bit more than an hour. Cool

Be ready, I'm coming to kill you ! Laughing

Did four games with the awesome and mighty MS1 lol! lol! lol! . Get shot four time (never understand from where). BUT I managed to shot ONE tank (a BT-2 much powerful than mine). I managed to shot 7 times and get shots...well more than 22 times.
It's a funny game but I don't think I'll ever be good at it as I need assistance to work as a team...otherwise I'll be shot to ribs more than often.

My nickname is TakiyeKorpius (missing a N between A and K however)

It's funny half and hour and then I find it quite boring. No way I could go for something else than that piece of crap I got. The more battle I'm doing the less time I survive. Last one can't even shot once. Get hit and damaged from everywhere without having time to fire back
