This was a very difficult race on a very difficult circuit. I am still much slower than the average guy here, even if I qualified with a nice 1:43 7th out of 9th, but to do that I had to take many risks and damage the car. For me, realistic lap times with safety marging to do the full race here are 1:45 to 1:47, so I simply took it all with patience and tried not to get involved in accidents, knowing that many would not finish and I could collect some points.

I opened the door in many ocasions to faster drivers that had fallen behind me, as it was nonesense to try to hold them behind me with such a speed difference, even if we were fighting for position. They would have get past sooner or later, and in the process we could have crashed both, so it was better to be able to race without pressure.

In the end, a nice 5th place (Even if being last, of course) and the joy of having survived the Monaco race.

The return to more normal tracks might give me better chances to be more competitive, though I am no special fan of the tracks used in the 1980 PROCAR series. The ones from 1979 were much more joyable in my opinion, so please admins consider that for next year :top: (Though I suspect 1980 was chosen because of the regular qualy system, instead of the 1979 one where F1 drivers started at the front)
