Je préfère retenir de lui le père des superbes XJR9 que le reste du personnage bien moins reluisant.

Tout à fait, pour moi, Walkinshaw, c'est effectivement un des plus beaux protos :

1988 ca reste un souvenir impérissable dans ma mémoire. J'ai eu la chance de pouvoir monter dans la Jaguar victorieuse juste avant qu'elle ne quitte le parc fermé (qui se situait au niveau de la chicane Ford à l'époque). Les mécanos de l'équipe furent très sympa de laisser une petite dizaine de privilégiés encore présents à cette heure là de s'intaller dans le baquet. A 20 ans c'est le genre de souvenirs qui marque un peu.

1981 : victoire au 24 Heures de Francorchamps avec Pierre Dieudonné et la suberbe Mazda Rx7
1983 : idem mais avec la Jaguar XJ/R12
1984 : Rebelotte mais en compagnie de Hans Heyer et Wim Percy ou j'ai eu l'occasion d'etre à sa table lors de la remise des prix...
un grand moment
Les années Rover furent impressionantes comme les voitures, mais sans victoire au 24H
